I graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2014 with a BA in Psychology. While at Kwantlen, I played for the Women’s Soccer Team for five years; attending Provincial championships four times and National championships twice. I still continue to play soccer to this day, as well as many other sports recreationally. As a result of my time as an elite athlete, I have attained a good understanding of the different pressures and mental health concerns that accompany being an athlete.

I continued my education and completed a Masters of Counselling at City University of Seattle in 2019. I have received additional training in Trauma Sensitive treatments such as Mindfulness and Somatic therapy. I have also completed addictions training through UBC and have experience in working with marginalized communities that struggle with substance misuse, homelessness, and various mental health concerns.

I take an integrative approach in my practice in order to provide a client-centred and culturally inclusive environment for clients to thrive. I include aspects from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and areas of Psychoanalysis to ensure I meet the needs of each unique client.

Throughout my athletic career, I have had various injuries, from concussions to ankle sprains to hamstring strains, so I understand the frustration of wanting to get back to health as soon as possible.

Through various treatment strategies and techniques, I will do everything in my power to make the recovery time as short as possible, while working to prevent future injury.
